  • Isn't the filesystem more or less standarized by the "Filesystem Hierarchy Standard" (http://www.pathname.com/fhs). I thought most Linux OSes used directories like /usr, /dev, /bin, /lib, /home... However, I'm just starting with Linux, and the filesystem is still obscure to me.
